Verifying notifications: How to check if they're working

Verify notifications are working by checking your storefront (not admin), ensuring the theme extension is activated, and confirming campaigns are Live. Use browser developer tools to check for script loading.


Check the Events page in the app. It shows Messages Shown, Messages Clicked, and all notification activity. Also test on your storefront to see notifications appearing.

Manual Testing


  1. Go to your storefront (not admin)
  2. Browse a product page
  3. Wait 5-10 seconds
  4. Notification should appear
  5. Verify it looks correct

Troubleshooting


No notifications showing:

  • Check theme extension activated
  • Verify Account ID matches
  • Check campaign is Live
  • Wait 5-10 minutes after changes


Low Messages Shown:

  • Check page/device targeting
  • Verify enough data available
  • Check global settings (interval, etc.)


No Messages Clicked:

  • Check if button/clickable element present
  • Verify redirect URL is set
  • Test clicking yourself
